Senior Learning and Development Officer
£29,000 per annum
Hybrid role based in Wath upon Dearne, Rotherham, S63 7ER, with 2 to 3 days per week required on site.
Travel will also be required as part of this role.
Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

Our G4S Customer Contact Centre in Wath Upon Dearne provides advice and support to the public on behalf of our clients. We have experienced rapid growth and are now a team of over 2000 people who spend their day helping people.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Learning and Development Officer to join our team, where your role will be to design, develop and deliver training courses, as well as supporting our long term strategies and change assurance strand as directed by the Quality & Training Manager.
This is a Hybrid working role, based in Wath upon Dearne, Rotherham, however travel will be required to our Hubs which include Newcastle, Liverpool and Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) in order to ensure cost-effective, relevant learning solutions are proposed and delivered.
* Design high quality and accurate training materials that deliver to exact specification, whilst considering learning styles and methods of delivery.
* Demonstrate how and where value has been added and how successful learning solutions have been received through concise evaluation of training programmes
* Support with training related issues and provide high-quality customer service across the business.
* Support the QTM with the auditing of training, bringing innovative solutions to redesign sessions and embed a more blended learning approach.
* Create and maintain training records ensuring that they are accurate and version controlled.
* Work with others in the training department to ensure a consistent approach to training administration, resolve issues and share best practices and innovation.
* Create an education awareness calendar, promoting the importance and relevance of e-learning completion and sharing outputs with senior leaders and management staff.
* Lead on the administration and development of our eLearning platform being the key internal contact for support.
* Deliver energised training solutions and learning interventions, engaging learners with effective facilitation and leadership skills and managing behavior as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential Criteria:
* Experienced in the delivery and writing of training material.
* Experience in Leadership.
* Knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
* Motivating, driving and responsible for own performance and actions.
* Problem solving and decision making skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Criteria:
* Coaching, developing, supporting, managing individual non-conformance and attendance.
* Knowledge and experience of the full learning cycle.
* Experience of planning workloads & resources.
* Experienced in decision making as part of a wider team.
* Resilience in pressured circumstances.
