Stirling Warrington are proudly working with a reputable manufacturing company who are currently looking for skilled electrical and mechanical fitters to join their friendly team based in Rugby. The right candidate will be skilled in assembly, installation and testing of electromechanical systems and components.
Overview:
A skilled Electrical &; Mechanical Fitter is required to support the assembly, installation, and testing of electromechanical systems and components. This role suits an individual with hands-on experience in both electrical and mechanical fitting, with a strong focus on precision, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Assembly:
* Carry out wiring in line with electrical regulations and engineering drawings.
* Install, test, commission, and maintain electrical systems and components.
* Locate and repair faults in electrical power supply equipment.
* Use and maintain trade tools, power tools, test equipment, and measuring instruments appropriately.
Mechanical Assembly:
* Perform mechanical fitting and assembly tasks as per engineering drawings or verbal instructions.
* Assemble components using the correct methods, techniques, and securing devices.
* Install, position, and secure components in accordance with specifications.
* Carry out testing procedures within agreed timescales, using the appropriate equipment and techniques.
* Operate various mechanical tools such as drills, taps, and soldering irons.
* Cooler builds and brazing (training provided if required).
General Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings.
* Build from samples or verbal instructions when needed.
* Undertake self-inspection of completed work to ensure compliance and quality standards.
* Maintain accurate process documentation.
* Assist with stock management including kitting, stores duties, and stock takes.
* Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
* Comply with all health and safety regulations, wearing appropriate PPE and using safety equipment.
* Support and mentor apprentices or semi-skilled workers when required.
* Test products in a safe and compliant manner.
* Be flexible and willing to take on additional tasks as required by business needs.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in electrical and mechanical assembly.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
* Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
* Confident interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
* Demonstrated ability to work safely and efficiently in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
