Temporary Sales Staff – Winchester Christmas Market
Job Summary
Catherine's Originals is looking for two enthusiastic and reliable sales assistants to join our team at the renowned Winchester Christmas Market. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a busy, festive environment, representing a vibrant artisan chocolate brand.
Key Responsibilities
* Open and close the chalet punctually each day in line with market regulations.
* Deliver excellent customer service by engaging with visitors and answering questions confidently.
* Achieve daily sales targets and actively promote the products.
* Hand out samples in a professional and welcoming manner.
* Represent Catherine's Originals with energy, positivity, and professionalism at all times.
* Keep the chalet clean and tidy at all times
What We're Looking For
* Experience in customer-facing roles, ideally in a retail or events environment.
* Proven ability to work to sales targets in busy, high-footfall locations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A punctual, reliable, and proactive attitude.
* Ability to stay upbeat and approachable in a fast-paced environment.
Logistics
* Must live in or near Winchester to ensure punctual arrival (the market enforces penalties for late openings/early closures).
* Availability for the full contract period: 21st November – 22nd December 2025.
Shift Patterns
* Person 1: Monday (9am–6pm), Thursday (9am–7pm), Friday (9am–8pm), Saturday (9am–8pm), Sunday (9am–6pm).
* Person 2: Tuesday (9am–6pm), Wednesday (9am–6pm), Thursday (9am–7pm), Friday (9am–8pm), Saturday (9am–8pm).

Salary
* £14 per hour.
* 10% bonus on the total amount sold above target.

Pay: £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 27 – 57 per week
