The Role
This is a brilliant opportunity for a senior sales leader to shape the future of a well-established and respected UK nursery business. Based on-site in the West Midlands, you'll take the reins of the sales function, driving commercial growth, inspiring a motivated team, and helping bring high-quality trees and plants to clients across the country.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll define and deliver a forward-thinking sales strategy, keeping your finger on the pulse of seasonal rhythms, customer needs, and market trends. It's a hands-on, people-focused role, ideal for someone who's as comfortable at a trade show as they are walking the nursery.
What You'll Be Doing
* Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with seasonal and business objectives
* Lead and coach a growing sales and customer service team, setting clear goals and fostering a high-performance culture
* Build and nurture relationships with key clients including garden centres, landscapers, designers, and wholesalers
* Represent the business at trade events and client site visits to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities
* Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns, promotions, and digital presence
* Monitor performance, forecast trends, and align sales activity with production and operations
* Serve as a brand ambassador, championing values of quality, sustainability, and expertise
About You

* Have proven experience in a senior sales role within horticulture, agriculture, or a related sector
* Possess strong leadership skills and a track record of building high-performing teams
* Are commercially astute with a strategic mindset and data-driven approach
* Thrive on building meaningful client relationships and networks
* Have a genuine passion for plants, trees, and sustainability
* Are willing to travel within the UK for meetings and industry events
