About the Role
Sunderland City Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Health Adviser to join our proactive and supportive Occupational Health team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the wellbeing of employees across the Council and partner organisations in the region.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality occupational health services including health assessments, case management, and health surveillance.
Provide expert advice on fitness for work, workplace adjustments, and health promotion.
Support the Council’s wellbeing strategy by contributing to initiatives that enhance physical and mental health across the workforce.
Collaborate with HR, Health & Safety, and external partners to ensure a holistic approach to employee wellbeing.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and professional standards.
About You
You will be a qualified Occupational Health professional (e.g. Registered Nurse with a specialist qualification in Occupational Health) with experience in delivering services in a multidisciplinary setting. You’ll be confident in managing complex cases, communicating effectively, and promoting a culture of health and wellbeing.
