We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and confident individuals to take on the role of Unqualified Teacher in secondary schools across Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, support staff, or those with youth work or coaching backgrounds who are considering a future in teaching.
You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring that students remain engaged in their learning. While Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not required, previous experience working with young people in an educational or mentoring setting is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering lessons using pre-prepared materials across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Maintaining a safe and positive learning environment
* Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Supporting students in their learning and emotional development
* Communicating effectively with teaching staff and reporting any concerns
We're Looking For Someone Who:
* Has experience working with children or young people (in schools, youth work, sports coaching, or similar roles)
* Is confident managing a classroom and engaging learners
* Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Is committed, reliable, and passionate about education
* Is considering a long-term career in teaching or education
