Description
You will work within the Fixed Income Client Portfolio Management/Product specialist team, with a primary focus on Investment Grade Credit. We require a dynamic and flexible individual, and to have an ability and the confidence to interact with colleagues from numerous teams, and of varying seniority.
How you'll spend your time...
Client Engagement
1. Strong communicator who can explain investment concepts to non-experts
2. Client facing experience
3. A background in Investment Grade Credit
4. Be able to foster business relationships with consultants, institutional and wholesale clients
5. Support the wider team via ownership of pitch messages, materials, and RFPs.
6. Help to drive the commercial agenda in terms of branding, PR, sales messages, and thought leadership.
7. Ability to present at seminars and roundtables would be an advantage.
Leadership Responsibilities
8. work closely with Product Specialists within the CPM team
9. interact effectively with distribution and marketing teams
Personal development
10. Maintain and develop investment expertise, market knowledge, and understanding Columbia Threadneedle's Fixed Income strategies
11. Ability to work in a team environment will be a key requirement.
12. Attend compliance and risk training workshops as required.
Risk management
13. Always act with integrity. Maintain awareness of and manage risks in line with client and regulatory requirements. Do not engage in behaviour that might have a negative impact on the proper functioning of the markets. Escalate concerns that could result in poor customer outcomes and/or a negative impact upon market integrity immediately
To be successful in this role you will have...
14. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate with a range of audiences.
15. A strong fixed income background, and a focus on Investment Grade Credit.
16. Proven team player.
17. Highly numerate - need for Power Point, Excel, Bloomberg, and Aladdin skills.
