This is an onsite, permanent position where you will leverage your mechanical engineering experience to lead and supervise a multiskilled team, ensuring all activities are completed on time and to a high standard. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a machine shop. Key Responsibilities: Installing main machinery on new build vessels Reading and understanding technical drawings Setting up and aligning shafts, thrusters, rudders, gearboxes, pumps and commissioning mechanical equipment Maximising labour utilisation by setting work for the team to meet delivery schedules Providing technical advice to the team and identifying process improvements Updating all relevant documents including daily progress registers, log books, accident books, training, performance records, and attendance logs Job Requirements: Machine Shop experience Supervisory experience in an industrial environment IT skills, especially MS Office Salary & Benefits £43,656 plus 30% Night Shift allowance (£56,752) Hours - (Apply online only) Competitive pension scheme Access to Perk Box rewards schemeIf you are an experienced mechanical supervisor with a machine shop background, we would love to hear from you.
