National Account Manager – Retail
Location: North of England (Remote with travel)

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 + benefits
The Opportunity
A growing and ambitious Scottish food manufacturer is looking to appoint a National Account Manager – Retail to support continued expansion across major grocery accounts.
This is a key commercial role focused on managing and developing retail partnerships, delivering sustainable growth, and taking full ownership of account performance.
The role is home-based in the North of England, with regular travel to customers and head office as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop major grocery retail accounts
* Own and deliver Joint Business Plans (JBPs)
* Lead pricing, promotional planning and trade spend management
* Manage full account P&L, delivering volume and margin targets
* Maintain accurate forecasting and demand planning alignment
* Identify and secure new listings and distribution opportunities
* Manage product launches in collaboration with NPD, Supply Chain and Marketing
* Maintain strong retailer relationships at buyer and category level
* Manage retailer portals, price files and reporting requirements
* Drive long-term account strategy aligned to business growth plans
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a National Account Manager within FMCG
* Strong major grocery retail exposure
* Experience delivering JBPs and managing trade spend
* Confident negotiator with strong commercial acumen
* Numerate, analytical and comfortable managing forecasts
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Proactive, self-motivated and growth-focused
* Chilled food experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
