Lincoln Cornhill is proud to be working with a reputable Housing, Care & Support provider with homes across the Midlands, who are seeking to appoint an Assistant Director of Property on a permanent basis. The role requires the candidate to work on site four days a week, and the annual salary is £85,000 - £90,000 per annum.
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery of all property functions including repairs, planned maintenance, capital investment, major works, zero‑carbon initiatives and building safety.
The range of function which are covered include:
* Lead, develop and coach the Compliance and Building Safety team to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services.
* Provide strong, visible leadership for the Property Services directorate as well as to the wider organisation as part of the senior leadership team.
* Lead the property management teams to deliver safe, decent, energy efficient homes that meets the needs of modern living, maximising social value and value for money
* Provide strategic leadership and expert advice to the Executive Team, Board and Committee on all aspects of strategic asset management, ensuring robust oversight of property services delivery and performance.
* Act as the advisor on long‑term investment planning, compliance, and risk management, enabling informed decision‑making that supports the organisations strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
* Actively contribute to the organisations business plan and our strategic aims and objectives.
Experience and skills required:
* Significant experience at a senior level managing asset within social housing including experience in some or all the following – strategic asset management and investment, compliance, zero‑carbon, repairs & maintenance.
* Substantial experience of managing large budgets for service and capital investment spend.Experience in budgeting, commercial procurement, contract management, and executive reporting.
* Experience of working with Boards and Committees.
* Track record of developing and sustaining effective external partnerships
* Membership with a recognised professional body (RICS, CIOB, CIH)
