What You’ll Do
* Supervise and support a team of care professionals
* Complete regular spot checks and staff competency assessments
* Develop and update person-centred care plans
* Deliver direct care (minimum 15 hours per week) and provide care cover when needed
* Participate in the on-call rota (minimum one full week per month)
* Ensure compliance with CQC standards and organisational values
Who We’re Looking For
Essential Criteria:
* Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role
* Experience working within domiciliary or home care services
* Ability to carry out staff spot checks and complete competency assessments
* Strong conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
* Proficient in English, both written and verbal
* Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload effectively
* High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Flexibility to work outside of contracted hours and participate in the on-call rota
Desirable Criteria:
* RQF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
* Previous supervisory experience specifically within domiciliary care
* Knowledge of CQC regulations and inspection processes
* Familiarity with electronic care planning systems
* Holding a training or assessing qualification (e.g. PTTLS, AET, or equivalent)
* Awareness of safeguarding principles and MCA/DoLS best practices
* Experience conducting supervisions and appraisals
* Understanding of risk assessments and care planning best practices
* Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and rostering systems
What We Offer:
* £27,000 annual salary (including on-call allowance)
* Additional pay for care calls outside of contracted hours
