Supported Internship Tutor Ref: 120687 Hours: 37 hours per week Salary: £31,925 to £40,640 per annum Location: Selby College We have a fantastic opportunity for a Supported Internship Tutor to come and work in our fantastic Inclusion department. The role of a Supported Internship Tutor is to teach and support a cohort of interns with EHCPs to fully engage and build effective relationships with our employer partners. You will be able to co-ordinate and lead the Project SEARCH Supported Internship programme by working with the host business to ensure our students gain the transferrable skills they need to gain paid employment. Learners will be supported to determine their career interests, specific job preferences and the skills and attitudes expected in the world of work. You will be able to: -Deliver effective employability skills sessions including English and maths development -Encourage and support learners to master a range of practical tasks and job roles -Differentiate and adapt teaching and learning to reach the needs of all learners -Work closely with the host business to identify suitable placements, review progress and set personal targets As a Supported Internship Tutor, you should: -Hold a Degree in a relevant subject specialism -Hold GCSE A* C / 9 – 4 in English and Maths or equivalent -Have experience of working with students in need of support, including those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities -A PGCE or recognised full teaching qualification is desirable, but not essential.
