Group Management Accountant (Part-Time)Cardiff£50,000 - £55,000 Pro RataPart-Time 3 Days per Week (Ideally Monday, Wednesday, Friday)We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing construction group based in Cardiff, with a successful track record spanning over 30 years. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Group Management Accountant in a newly created position to support the Finance Director.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Management Accountant to take ownership of the finance function across a group of companies, with real scope to add value and influence decision-making at a senior level.The RoleWorking closely with the MD and FD, you will be responsible for the preparation and oversight of the management accounts function across the group, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting.Key responsibilities will include:Preparation of monthly management accounts for review by the FDMonthly balance sheet reconciliationsManagement of inter-company balances and reconciliationsMonthly reconciliation of stock and involvement in annual stocktakes across three group entitiesFixed asset management and maintenance of the fixed asset registerPreparation of daily cash balance reports for review by the FDCashflow forecasting and ongoing cash managementWeekly debtor reporting across the group, monitoring cash collection and aged debtPreparation and submission of CIS returnsSupporting with payroll processes, including year-end payroll reconciliationsSupporting with budgeting and forecasting processesAssisting with year-end processes and liaising with external accountantsIdentifying and implementing process improvements within the finance functionProviding financial insight and support to senior stakeholders to aid decision-makingAbout YouWe are looking for a committed and reliable individual who takes pride in their work and is keen to establish themselves within a business for the long term. You will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to go the extra mile.You will ideally have:ACCA/CIMA qualification (or be a technically strong QBE with relevant experience)Strong management accounting experience, ideally within the construction or engineering sectorsExperience managing multiple entities or group structuresIntermediate to advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, SUMIFs)Recent experience using SageA proactive and conscientious approach, with strong attention to detailDesirable ExperienceConstruction sector experience (including domestic reverse charge VAT and retentions)Payroll knowledge and experienceExperience using XeroWhats on OfferPart-time role (3 days per week) with flexibility on working hours - office based roleFlexibility on working days (ideally Monday, Wednesday, Friday preferred)25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata)On-site parkingThe opportunity to join a long-standing, stable, and growing businessScope to make an impact and shape the finance functionTPBN1_UKTJ
