Interim Procurement Specialist Location: Hybrid – Liverpool

About the Role
We are recruiting for an Interim Procurement Specialist to join a dynamic procurement function and play a key role in delivering exceptional service and value across the organisation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a Business Partner model, shaping supplier strategies, negotiating contracts, and driving performance frameworks to ensure compliance and governance.
You’ll combine strategic sourcing, supplier management, and compliance oversight to optimise costs and consolidate suppliers. This is a hands-on role requiring commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
2. Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including supplier selection, RFPs, and contract negotiations
3. Build and lead procurement frameworks, ensuring governance and compliance
4. Drive cost optimisation and risk mitigation through strategic sourcing
5. Manage supplier relationships across indirect and IT spend categories
6. Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track savings and performance
7. Collaborate with stakeholders to align procurement with business needs
8. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies
Requirements
9. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
10. Experience with procurement systems (, Coupa, SAP Ariba) and spend analytics tools
11. Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field (CIPS desirable)
12. Ability to work independently and influence senior stakeholders
13. Commercial awareness, analytical skills, and attention to detail
