Senior Electrical Design Engineer Building Services Glasgow (hybrid office and project site visits) Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to step up into a senior role, leading projects across the public and private sectors? This is a great opportunity to join a respected building services consultancy delivering technically challenging projects throughout Scotland and the wider UK. The role Youll take ownership of electrical design delivery from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, efficient, and sustainable solutions. Key responsibilities: Lead and coordinate electrical design packages on projects across sectors such as healthcare, education, and commercial buildings Prepare drawings, schematics, and specifications using industry-standard tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, IES) Carry out calculations, equipment selections, and design reviews to current British Standards and regulations (BS 7671, Scottish Technical Standards, etc.) Support project delivery from feasibility through tender, construction, commissioning, and handover Liaise with clients, contractors, and design partners to ensure smooth delivery Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal technical development and QA processes What were looking for Degree or HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent experience) Proven background in electrical design for building services, ideally with exposure to healthcare, education, or commercial projects Proficient with design software (Revit, AutoCAD, Amtech/Trimble ProDesign, IES, Dialux or Relux) Strong understanding of BS 7671 and related building standards Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships and coordinate across disciplines Whats on offer Salary up to £60,000 (depending on experience) Hybrid working and flexible start/finish times Pension and private healthcare Clear development pathway toward Principal Engineer and Chartership support If youre passionate about electrical design and enjoy taking projects from concept to completion, wed love to hear from you. ??
