Senior Health Care Assistant - Urgent Care and MIU
Responsibilities
* Support the Registered Clinical Staff in delivering high‑quality, individualized care to a defined group of patients, clients, relatives and carers who attend the Urgent Treatment Centre and MIU.
* Manage your own clinical workload using the ledger system, ensuring care is delivered in line with the job description.
* Provide wound and burn care, perform patient observations, assist with clinical investigations and deliver minor injury care, including POP application, splinting and sling dressing.
* Respond dynamically and flexibly to the service needs, including resource management.
* Deliver best‑practice, evidence‑based care to patients of all ages, maintaining a high standard of service.
* Commit to personal and professional development at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required.
* Computer literate; experience with System 1 is an advantage (full training will be provided).
* Prior experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred.
* Applicants requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship for the UK are not eligible to apply.
