About the Role
Vision for Education is seeking an experienced and motivated Room Leader to join a welcoming early years setting in Chelmsford. The setting follows the EYFS framework closely, promoting learning through play and supporting each child’s individual development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage a room, ensuring a high standard of care and education
2. Plan and implement engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
3. Support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing
4. Supervise and support other staff within the room
5. Maintain accurate records, including observations and assessments
6. Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
7. Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements
8. Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (EYFS or equivalent)
9. Previous experience working within an early years setting
10. Experience in a leadership or senior practitioner role is desirable
11. Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
12. Excellent communication and organisational skills
13. A caring, proactive, and enthusiastic approach
14. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
