Job Overview
At Smile Care Studio, we are seeking an established Practice Manager to lead and develop our practice. This is a senior position suited to someone who has successfully managed a dental (or healthcare) practice and is now looking for a role with greater autonomy, influence, and impact.
At Smile Care Studio, the Practice Manager plays a key leadership role in delivering both an exceptional patient experience and strong business performance. This position is ideal for an ambitious individual with a proven background in dental or healthcare management who is motivated to take ownership, drive growth, and continuously improve standards.
You will take full ownership of the operational and commercial performance of the practice, driving growth, and continuously improving the patient journey. You will lead a dedicated team, oversee daily operations, and implement strategies that support both clinical excellence and commercial success. Duties
* Provide strong, visible leadership to an established clinical and non-clinical team
* Take full accountability for practice performance, including revenue, KPIs, and profitability
* Optimise diary utilisation, patient flow, and conversion of private treatment
* Lead on compliance, CQC standards, and clinical governance
* Manage recruitment, retention, and development of a high-performing team
* Drive a positive, accountable, and professional practice culture
* Oversee financial processes including budgeting, cost control, and reporting
* Identify and implement growth opportunities, including private revenue and patient experience improvements
Requirements
* Knowledge of financial management principles relevant to healthcare practices
* Experience in human resources management including recruitment and staff development
* Proven track record as a Practice Manager within a dental setting
* Demonstrated experience managing practice performance, KPIs, and team leadership
* Commercially astute, with confidence in driving revenue and controlling costs
* Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence, motivate, and hold teams accountable
* Highly organised, resilient, and solutions-focused
* Committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience
* Experience in mixed NHS/private practices is advantageous
* Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude
* Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, patients, and external stakeholders
