Responsibilities
1. Standards of Practice: Utilize the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice to guide nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
2. Standards of Professional Performance: Engage in activities related to ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, and resource utilization. Practice ethically, promote diversity and inclusion, communicate effectively, collaborate with stakeholders, lead within your practice setting, seek ongoing education, and utilize resources responsibly.
Qualifications
* Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred. Current BCLS certification required within one month of hire.
* Experience: Registered Nurse experience, with encouragement to advance through the SPIRE clinical program. Minimum of 1 year acute care or ambulatory RN experience required; 2 years Oncology and/or Ambulatory RN experience preferred.
* Licensure: Valid registered nurse license in Connecticut. Specialty certification encouraged.
* Physical Demands: Prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and physical activity, with exposure to infectious diseases and emotional stress.
Additional Information
One year of acute care or ambulatory RN experience required. Two years of Oncology or Ambulatory RN experience preferred.
