Store Manager – Inverness
Location: The Co-operative Food, 59 Church Street, Inverness, IV1 1DY
Salary: £37,440 - £41,600 per annum plus great benefits
Contract: Permanent
We’re looking for a skilled Store Manager to join our retail team. This full-time Store Manager role comes with a competitive salary and a brilliant benefits package.
Responsibilities
* Deliver the store purpose by guiding commercial and community strategies.
* Lead your team and show them how to make shopping at Co‑op a fantastic experience.
* Empower your team to deliver great service and personally promote the Co‑op difference to customers and members.
* Build an inclusive culture where everyone can speak up and share their views.
* Develop your team through regular performance conversations to help them reach their potential.
* Ensure the store is safe, legal and operational.
* Manage and optimise the store’s commercial performance, recruit new team members and manage HR processes.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience of guiding and developing a team in a busy, service‑focused environment.
* Good communication skills; ability to coach, motivate and inspire a team.
* Resilience and strong problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to understand and analyse commercial information.
* Willingness to roll up your sleeves and support the team with the delivery of store activities.
