Job Overview
The Commercial Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the commercial operations of the organisation. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that enhance profitability while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of construction, market dynamics, and a commitment to cost control.
The successful candidate will be required to based in Derry at least 3 times per week but you will also be required to travel to other parts of the UK
Duties
* Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for expansion.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on commercial objectives.
* Manage relationships with key clients and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
* Oversee the preparation of pricing strategies, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining margins.
* Implement cost control measures to optimise operational efficiency and reduce expenses.
* Prepare regular reports on commercial performance, providing insights for decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all commercial activities.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a commercial management role or similar position within construction.
* Strong understanding of financial principles, including cost control and budgeting.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships at all levels.
* Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools is advantageous.
* A degree in Business Administration, construction, finance, or a related field is preferred.
