AWS Cloud Engineer Solihull, UK / Hybrid Full Time Role summary We are looking for an AWS Cloud Engineer to join our Service Infrastructure team in Solihull. Reporting into the Head of Infrastructure, the primary role of the Infrastructure Engineer is to be responsible for tooling, automation, troubleshooting, maintaining, and expanding Reapit's AWS Cloud Infrastructure, making sure all infrastructure requests are logged, scoped and justified. The role is also responsible for minimising service interruptions by quickly responding to incidents and employing a pro-active approach to avoiding future incidents. More complex requests require the ability to plan, document and thoroughly test infrastructure scenarios before any change is implemented. Responsibilities Currently inflight projects the candidate will be involved in: Migrating services from a Physical datacentre to AWS Building tools for automation, migration, and tasks Managing their own workload through JIRA tickets Be responsible for minimising service interruptions by quickly responding to incidents and employing a pro-active approach to avoiding future incidents The individual will continually document, monitor and enhance the existing infrastructure Document processes on Jira/Confluence Requirements The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: 3 years experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer Hands on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies: Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, CloudFormation Wide-ranging understanding of Infrastructure-a-Code techniques, processes and patterns.
