Job Description

Eventus Recruitment Group is seeking a number of Legal Secretaries for an outstanding Legal 500 firm for one of their offices in the Tunbridge Wells area. These are full-time, permanent job roles and available on a hybrid basis, where after an initial period the successful applicants can work from home two days per week. Salary is £26-30k (depending on experience) and the benefits include 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pension contributions, and life assurance.

Role Responsibilities

Working within a large team, such as Real Estate or Private Client, you will be part of a team where the ambience is outstanding, and there is a general fun atmosphere evident. Staff retention is high, and the Partners and solicitors alike have excellent relationships with the support staff.

The day-to-day job duties within the Legal Secretary roles include:

* Assisting fee earners and Partners within all areas by providing a high-quality support service
* Liaison with external bodies and professionals when required
* Arranging meetings, managing correspondence, and updating clients on matter progress
* Drafting and managing legal documentation including full typing service and proof reading
* Preparation of all related documents
* File compliance and deadline management
* Financial and administrative support including opening files and raising bills


Person Specification

To be successful in your application for these Legal Secretary roles it is imperative that you have worked within a law firm, experience within Real Estate or Private Client practice areas would be advantageous. Legal Personnel Assistant backgrounds will be considered. In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:

* Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines under pressure
* Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information
* Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness and ability to work effectively as part of a team
