Job description - the role
On behalf of PwC, we are looking for a Programme Test Lead for a 5 Months contract based in Glasgow (Hybrid - 1 or 2 times per week in the Office)
Join us as a Programme Test Lead.
As Programme Test Lead you will join a major technology-enabled transformation programme within a large UK public-sector organisation. The programme is replacing complex legacy systems with modern, multi-stack cloud and SaaS solutions. We are looking for a Programme Test Lead who can lead hands-on testing across a wide range of workstreams while coordinating with multiple teams, suppliers, and delivery partners.
Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience
What you'll do:
* Lead and execute System Integration Testing, End-to-End testing, and User Acceptance Testing across a multi-stack environment including Salesforce, SaaS components, and custom-coded systems.
* Develop structured test plans, schedules, scenarios, and reporting to support programme readiness and stakeholder decision-making.
* Manage and coordinate external supplier-led testing such as accessibility, penetration, and security testing.
* Drive issue resolution by working across functional, technical, and supplier teams to triage and manage defects.
* Contribute to the preparation and assurance of major programme go-lives, supporting fast-paced delivery and shifting priorities.
The skills you'll need:
* Strong track record in End-to-End journey testing, System Integration Testing, and leading UAT cycles in complex environments.
* Experience working with multi-stack solutions combining SaaS, cloud, and custom-coded applications.
* Ability to manage and coordinate third-party suppliers delivering specialist testing (security, accessibility).
* Strong planning, organisational, and documentation skills with the ability to work at pace under pressure.
* Experience in regulated sectors (financial services) is advantageous.
