Hull & East Yorkshire Combined Authority (HEYCA) is a newly established mayoral combined authority responsible for shaping major regional decisions across transport, skills, regeneration, and investment. We are seeking a motivated Graduate Governance Assistant to join our Law and Governance Team.
This is an entry-level officer role providing direct support to statutory scrutiny and wider governance processes, working closely with elected Members and senior officers to support democratic decision-making and accountability across the Authority.
What you’ll do:
1. Support the coordination and effective administration of committee and decision-making processes, ensuring statutory, procedural and constitutional compliance while providing impartial support to elected Members and senior officers.
2. Assist with the preparation and administration of agendas, reports, minutes and statutory publication requirements, supporting effective scrutiny and democratic governance processes.
3. Contribute to the effective delivery of overview and scrutiny functions.
