Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant
The Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.
The Care Workers / Healthcare Assistants / Support Worker should ideally have some experience in care and be compassionate.
They will help with the day-to-day care of patients, either at home or within a care facility.
Care Workers / Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers are vital members of teams in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

As a Care Worker, Support Worker, or Healthcare Assistant, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff and alongside other Healthcare Assistants.
Your duties may include:
1. Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
2. Assisting with food and feeding
3. Making and changing beds
4. Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
5. Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
6. Helping patients move around
7. Assisting with toileting and collecting bedpans
8. Maintaining tidiness of wards or homes
9. Managing supplies and equipment
Your daily work may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients within hospitals. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.
