Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a specialism in either PE or Music to join a welcoming primary school in Croydon. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced education professional to make a positive impact on pupils' learning, wellbeing, and development through engaging and creative lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality PE or Music sessions to primary-aged pupils.
* Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities.
* Lead whole-class learning when required and provide classroom cover.
* Work with small groups and individual pupils to support progress and attainment.
* Encourage participation, confidence, teamwork, and creativity among pupils.
* Help organise school performances, assemblies, clubs, sporting events, and enrichment activities.
* Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
* HLTA status or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
* A qualification, background, or significant experience in PE, Sports Coaching, Music, Performing Arts, or a related field.
* A strong understanding of how children learn and develop in a primary setting.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A positive, energetic, and adaptable approach to supporting pupils.
* An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.
