Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our Small family ran business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at using hand and power tools for the maintenance and repair of various vehicles. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
* Perform maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
* Utilise schematics and technical manuals to assist in the assembly and repair of vehicle components.
* Execute equipment repair tasks, ensuring all work is compliant with safety regulations.
* Operate hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair and maintenance activities.
* Engage in heavy lifting as required during the repair process, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicles condition and required services.
Requirements
* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Familiarity with schematics and ability to interpret technical documents.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to vehicle repair tasks.
* Strong commitment to safety practices, particularly when handling equipment and performing heavy lifting.
* Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about technical issues.
