To succeed as a Restaurant Shift / Floor Manager, you should be a strong leader and a positive team player, with previous experience in the restaurant and customer service sectors within a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and flexibility to work various hours (including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends) are essential.

Key Responsibilities
As a Tim Hortons Restaurant Shift/Floor Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager with responsibilities including:
* Customer Service:
o Lead by example, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
o Maintain a customer-focused approach in all operations.
o Accurately schedule staff to meet demand.
o Support the team to ensure operational efficiency.
o Conduct regular store walks from the customer's perspective.
* People:
o Encourage staff suggestions and address concerns.
o Provide performance feedback, set goals, and support development.
o Create a positive team environment, ensuring dignity and respect for all employees, free from discrimination.
o Manage performance issues in collaboration with HR.
* Driving Sales:
o Understand sales patterns, popular products, and peak times.
o Ensure products are well-merchandised and stock levels are sufficient.
o Support marketing campaigns.
o Coach staff on upselling and suggestive selling techniques.
o Identify areas for improvement based on employee incentives and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Operations:
o Monitor KPIs such as sales, staff turnover, food safety, and health & safety standards.
o Set a positive example under pressure.
o Manage weekly stock orders and quality checks.
o Oversee maintenance schedules for equipment.
o Manage inventory levels.
o Handle opening and closing procedures.
o Maintain cleanliness, food hygiene, and customer service standards.
o Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and reported promptly.
o Be flexible to work various shifts as part of the management team.
Key Requisites
* Previous experience managing restaurants.
* Flexible and disciplined work approach.
* Experience in food service is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good numeracy and literacy skills.
* High standards of food hygiene and safety.
* Experience handling customer complaints.
* Adherence to health and safety procedures.
