Overview
CPL's Health division are recruiting a Therapy Assistant. My client is a multi-professional therapy practice providing specialist Therapy Services to children 0-18 years. Children present with a variety of diagnoses, including Sensory Processing Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Dyspraxia, Cerebral Palsy, Dyslexia, Speech and Language delay/disorders, attachment and trauma difficulties, global developmental delay or neurological disorders. The approach used includes IDENTIFY, EDUCATE, ACCELERATE, as part of each therapeutic treatment package.
The post will involve direct work with children and young people with Autism and other complex needs, as listed above. The purpose of the role is to support Therapists, including Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists, in the provision and further development of high quality therapeutic work. The post holder will implement a range of therapy interventions under the guidance of the relevant Therapist and produce therapy resources.
Responsibilities
* Direct work with children and young people with Autism and other complex needs.
* Support Therapists, including Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists, in the provision and development of high quality therapy.
* Implement a range of therapy interventions under the guidance of the relevant Therapist.
* Produce therapy resources to support treatment and progress.
* Collaborate with school, family and the child to provide personal therapy, individualised goals and specific activity programmes to address needs and support progress at an appropriate pace and intensity.

Salary
Salary up to £30,000 pro rata (term-time only).
