Job Description
A Head Chef/Head Cook is required to lead our small catering team and manage all legislative and service aspects of the kitchen. We support a community of up to 20 elderly priests. Duties will include ordering supplies, stock control, cooking/ presenting foods (some special diets), maintaining the cleaning schedule, menu planning, food safety management and supervising kitchen staff. You will need an NVQ/ C&G 706/1/2 in catering or equivalent qualification and be able to work to a high professional standard whilst demonstrating good diner service and teamworking. You will have at least 2 yr experience as Head Chef.
Good verbal and written communication skills are essential together with respect for a religious household. The successful candidate will work shifts which will include a share of weekend work. Our shifts do not extend past 8pm. This Full-time position is for 36hr per week and you must be flexible to work shifts over 5 days of the week, according to the needs of the service.
