Senior Civil Engineer

Responsibilities
* Contribute to the design of an array of engineering developments
* Lead the day‑to‑day management of engineering projects from inception to delivery
* Mentor and support colleagues in their tasks
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders across the public and private sectors
* Prepare and check technical reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, and method statements
* Adhere to company policies, procedures, and best practice and uphold health and safety standards at all times
* Represent the company at client meetings and site visits
Required skills and experience
* A degree (or equivalent qualification) in civil engineering
* Chartered status with a formally recognised professional body
* Experience working in a design capacity within a UK‑based consultancy
* Experience with infrastructure (highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy projects
* Experience of earthworks and drainage network modelling
* Proficient in Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and similar software packages
* Experience writing and amending a variety of reports for submission
* Experience in client and stakeholder liaison
* Excellent organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience
* Experience authoring Flood Risk Assessments
* Experience preparing Transport Assessments
* Previous experience leading projects or teams
* Experience working in a public‑facing role
* Full, valid UK driving licence
