We’re looking for a Health and Safety Lead to join Cavendish Nuclear’s Hinkley Point C nuclear project in Bridgwater, Somerset.
Role Summary
The Health and Safety Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring the wellbeing of our workforce and contractors on the Hinkley Point C construction site. This is a full-time, permanent position working 37 hours per week on site.
Responsibilities
* Monitor working practices of MEH employees and contractors to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and welfare standards.
* Record findings from audits and inspections in line with HSSE Management System requirements.
* Support accident investigations and oversee HSE advisors’ KPIs.
* Build strong working relationships with Tier 1 contractors and the Principal Contractor.
* Escalate unresolved issues to H&S or Discipline Leads for further support.
Essential Experience
* Significant, relevant experience in the construction industry.
* Strong communication skills to explain HSE procedures and expectations to diverse teams.
* Solid working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
Qualifications
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
Security Clearance
Valid UK passport holder with the ability to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance.
