Job Title: Quality Coordinator
Location: Crewkerne, Somerset
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Full-Time | Perm - 40 hours per week
My client in Crewkerne is looking for a Quality Coordintor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion for Quality.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Quality, the Quality Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the effective operation and administration of the Quality Management System (QMS). This is a highly administrative and coordination-focused role, with responsibility for maintaining quality records, processes and data, while working closely with internal teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management System (QMS)
* Maintain and control QMS documentation in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards
* Ensure records are accurate, up to date and correctly filed
Internal Audits
* Support the planning and coordination of internal audits
* Assist with audit delivery and ensure compliance with QMS requirements
Goods Inwards Quality
* Manage administrative aspects of goods-in quality processes
* Review Certificates of Conformance (CoC), documentation and traceability records
* Support inspection activities where required
Calibration System Administration
* Coordinate calibration schedules and maintain accurate equipment records
* Ensure all measurement and test equipment is compliant and audit-ready
* Monitor calibration status and escalate any risks or overdue items
Customer Returns & Non-Conformances
* Provide administrative support for returns and non-conformance processes
* Track issues, actions and outcomes accurately
ISIRs & Part Qualification
* Support documentation and coordination of ISIR and part qualification activities
* Maintain accurate records and approvals
Quality Metrics & Continuous Improvement
* Collate and report on KPIs and quality metrics
* Maintain quality data, reports and action logs
* Support continuous improvement initiatives
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Essential:
* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Confident IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain structured records
* Comfortable working within defined processes and supporting senior quality staff
Desirable:
* Experience working within a Quality Management System
* Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards
* Background in a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Exposure to audits, calibration systems or quality reporting
Development & Progression:
This role offers structured development under the guidance of the Head of Quality, with increasing responsibility as training and competency grow.
