Craigroyston Primary School
Salary: £28,046 - £32,010 (pro-rata for sessional)
Hours: 36 per week, 39 weeks sessional
7:30am -15:45pm Monday - Thursday & 8:00am - 13:00pm Friday
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our ELC Team.
Craigroyston Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our team. We welcome applications from experienced Early Year Practitioner who will support our work to ensure learners at Craigroyston Primary develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to demonstrate four key capacities - to be successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a school environment and be willing to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the service. They will also be competent users of ICT and have knowledge and experience of using databases, spreadsheets and word documents. Excellent communication skills and experience of working to tight deadlines is essential.
Candidates will be expected to provide basic first aid and administer medication as appropriate. A suitable qualification in first aid or a willingness to undertake any necessary training is essential.
Our school, supported by AMEY, benefits from a diverse staff team with a range of experiences and interests. We have a pupil support team consisting of PSA, EYP and PSO practitioners, a vibrant nursery and 13 classes (provisionally allocated for session 22/23) taught by a mixture of full time and part time teachers and a visiting PE teacher. The school has an experienced DHT and welcomed a new HT in April 2022. We are proud of our diverse and vibrant community. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
