About the Role
Bath Spa University Press is seeking a Graduate Publishing Coordinator who is comfortable working with data, documentation and contracts as well as engaging with writers, editors and designers. This is a coordination role that supports the publishing and creative work across the Press and the EMBLAZE Imprint. The role ensures commissioning, production and reporting processes are robust, transparent and well‑managed.
The successful graduate will:
* Coordinate submission and commissioning processes, tracking and managing peer review workflows.
* Prepare and track contributor agreements (SEEDs) and supplier contracts.
* Maintain structured databases of talent and suppliers and monitor project milestones.
* Liaise with contributors, partners and internal stakeholders using professional communication channels, drafting clear briefs and process documentation.
* Track audience and financial data, contribute to formal reporting and public updates.
* Work closely with steering groups, editorial boards and university colleagues to scaffold creative ambition and ensure publications meet professional standards, budgets, governance and quality expectations.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of publishing and creative project development and will be motivated to build the structures that enable others to succeed.
The successful candidate will also:
* Show evidence of understanding publishing or creative production processes.
* Have demonstrable experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders, maintaining timelines and clarifying expectations.
* Have evidence of strong organisational skills, including managing data, documentation, records or project tracking systems.
* Show clear and professional written communication ability.
* Demonstrate ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Experience working with external contributors, freelance talent or suppliers in a professional or administrative capacity.
* Experience handling contractual documentation, financial tracking or compliance‑related processes.
* Experience supporting submission, review or commissioning processes in an academic, publishing or creative context.
* Experience contributing to audience engagement tracking, reporting or structured evaluation of projects.
* Have worked within a role that required balancing collaboration with accountability for defined workflows.
