This is a chance to work flexibly within the service hours of 8am - 8pm Mon-Thurs, and 9am-5pm Friday, to deliver online and telephone triages while working completely remotely in support of the three community NHS IAPT services in East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT), rated 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Benefits include in-house supervision and line-management, bespoke CPD, resources of NHS IAPT, and support from an enthusiastic, engaged, and inclusive team. Join a unique NHS service at ground level, helping to shape its future while enjoying NHS employment benefits.
Although primarily remote, the service offers regular online contact through video groups and 1-2-1 meetings to foster team interaction. There is also a monthly online service meeting for updates.
We seek an experienced and enthusiastic Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to support service users in accessing IAPT talking therapies. The role involves completing online triage assessments and telephone support, requiring awareness of common mental health presentations and understanding of the stepped care model. Good computer literacy, excellent time management, and a friendly telephone manner are essential.
The role includes delivering psycho-educational and low-intensity therapeutic interventions remotely via video, telephone, and typed text-based sessions, following NICE guidance. We support therapist development through supervision, line-management, and bespoke CPD, with opportunities to develop clinical expertise.
Our NHS remote IAPT service utilizes digital media and familiar interfaces like IAPTUS and Microsoft Teams to provide high-quality therapeutic interventions across London and the Home Counties.
Our mission is to make a positive difference by improving quality of life. We value care, respect, and inclusivity, and seek individuals who embody these qualities when supporting service users and colleagues.
The post involves working with diverse cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary. It is a permanent position with an expectation for all staff to offer one late online evening clinic per week (12pm-8pm).
We seek a committed, enthusiastic Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner willing to contribute to the service and embrace modern working methods. The role offers opportunities to collaborate with professionals from various therapeutic backgrounds within an evolving, integrated team.
