Care Assistant – Cedar Lodge and The Limes Care Home Contract (Full Time)
Key Responsibilities
* Support individuals with complex needs including advanced dementia, mental health conditions, and other long-term health challenges.
* Provide safe, consistent, and person‑centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
* Follow individual care plans and support structured routines to create a calm, stable, and supportive environment.
* Build positive relationships with residents, understanding their needs and responding appropriately to changes in behaviour or wellbeing.
* Support both the physical and emotional needs of residents while ensuring care is delivered safely and consistently at all times.
Qualifications & Skills
* Caring, compassionate and respectful approach
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Calm, patient and resilient attitude
* Willingness to learn and develop within a complex care environment
* Previous experience in care or mental health is beneficial but not essential
* NVQ2 in Health & Social Care, or willingness to obtain
Experience
Any relevant experience in care or mental health settings will be considered an advantage.
Benefits
* Salary: £12.71 per hour
* Contract hours: 34.5–45 hours per week

* Shift times – Days 8 am to 8:15 pm (3 vacancies); Nights 8 pm to 8:15 am (1 vacancy), including alternate weekends

Cedar Lodge Care Home is a well established service in Taunton, Somerset, providing specialist dementia, palliative and respite care for up to 39 residents, alongside The Limes, a dedicated mental health community supporting a further 15 individuals. The home offers a welcoming, supportive environment with a strong focus on personalised care, dignity and wellbeing across both services.
