Hours: Monday to Friday, with an early finish every Friday

We are recruiting dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join a specialist school in Newton Abbot, supporting pupils aged 7–16 with a wide range of additional needs. About the Role
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with complex learning needs.
Work with pupils with Autism (ASC/ASD), SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
Adapt activities and classroom resources to meet individual learning plans.
Support pupils’ emotional development, independence, and positive behaviour.
Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to support holistic progress.
What We’re Looking For
Experience supporting SEND pupils (in school, care, or youth settings).
PRICE training or similar behaviour management experience (desirable).
Transferable skills from care work, youth work, or mentoring.
Excellent communication, empathy, patience, and resilience.
A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting young people.
Willingness to complete safeguarding and CPD training.
