The Opportunity
The Rimes Technologies Infrastructure Team is at the heart of the Technology Organization. Its primary objectives are to ensure technology used by Rimes customers is innovative, reliable, performant, scalable and secure, delivering world-class customer experience for external and internal users. We operate global services with teams that are passionate and committed to meeting our customers’ demands, delivering technology and mission critical data within SLA. Rimes delivers its technology from both our own datacenter and the Cloud. We are recruiting for a Senior Network and Cloud Engineer to join our global Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm with a global presence and significant growth potential.
Responsibilities
* Act as technical lead for network and cloud operations as well as cross-team projects
* Act as technical lead for network and cloud projects, including migrations, upgrades, and security initiatives
* Participate in architectural decision-making, mentor junior engineers, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive best practices in network and cloud operations management
* Build systems and implement innovative technologies to support the next generation Rimes platform in data center and cloud environments
* Optimize data center infrastructure to improve performance, utilization, availability and security while controlling costs
* Maintain observability best practices to measure compliance with Rimes SLAs
Who You Are
Core requirements:
* Expert level networking knowledge, including configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco and HP networking equipment (Switches, Routers, firewalls)
* Deep experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly in networking (e.g., Vnets, ExpressRoute, Azure firewall, network security groups)
* Hands-on experience supporting physical data centers, including hardware, operating systems, and network infrastructure
* Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, especially VMware
* Proficient Windows Server 2019/2022, including DNS, DHCP and Active Directory
* Skilled in incident management and cross-team communication, with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues and solutions
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Certifications
* Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
* VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
* CompTIA Network+ or Security+ (optional but beneficial)
