<div><h3>Lead Physician</h3><p>Location: Aberdeen, AB23 8HG</p><p>Working 3 days per week.</p><h3>Role Purpose</h3><p>Provide leadership and support for doctors in your allocated Bupa Health Centre (or on‑site clinic or remote services), working collaboratively with the management team to ensure provision of high standards of clinical practice and customer service. Where business need arises this may include cross‑cover of other Bupa Health Centres, on‑site clinics or the remote service.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Deliver Adult Health Assessments and private GP work (for customers of all ages) at Bupa Health Centres, on sites or remotely.</li><li>Provide clinical input into the review of customer feedback comments, complaints, incidents and risks.</li><li>Oversee the provision of health assessments and private GP work by doctors within the centre or remote services.</li><li>Partner with the Bupa Resource team or local administrative team, and centre managers for diary management and clinical scheduling.</li><li>Investigate issues identified by you or members of your centre/remote teams, ensuring clinical safety is always upheld.</li><li>Conduct clinical audits as per the Quality Team audit schedule, in liaison with the Clinical Health Assessment Leadership Team (CHALT).</li><li>Lead the implementation of clinical policies and procedures with guidance from the Clinical Leadership Team.</li><li>Ensure the Medicines Management policy is implemented in your centre (or remotely) in relation to service line/resus policy drugs.</li><li>Act as a key stakeholder to support the centre (or remote service) and doctors to prepare for CQC visits.</li><li>Provide a key advisory and support point to staff within the centre (or remotely), and other LPs, ensuring clinical guidance is provided as required.</li><li>Lead the delivery of mock scenarios and emergency clinical procedures within the centre (or remotely if applicable).</li><li>Support the Centre Manager/remote manager and team to drive better centre or remote services performance, understanding AOP and actively supporting the achievement of business and financial targets.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications & Training</h3><ul><li>GMC registered with a licence to practice and on the GP register.</li><li>Current GMC appraisal and revalidation.</li><li>MRCGP and Member of a Medical Defence Organisation.</li><li>Significant postgraduate experience in General Practice.</li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training certificate.</li><li>Current Safeguarding Level 3 training certificate.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Paid indemnity.</li><li>Annual pay review.</li><li>Paid study leave.</li><li>CPD opportunities and access to leadership courses.</li><li>25 days holiday, increasing through length of service, with option to buy or sell.</li><li>Bupa health insurance as a benefit in kind.</li><li>An enhanced pension plan and life insurance.</li><li>Annual Health Services Bonus Scheme.</li></ul><h3>Information & Accessibility</h3><p>Bupa is a Level 2 Disability Confident Employer.
