🧩 Teaching Assistant (Level 2) - Student Inclusion Base
📍 Tameside
💼 Permanent | 36 hours per week | Term-time only
💰 Grade D SCP 7-10: £25,584 - £26,835 (pro rata)
🗓 Closing Date: Monday 14th July 2025 (9:00am)

Are you the kind of person who wants to see the best out of every student?

Do you recognise that behaviour is often the symptom of a need not being met somewhere?

Do you want to be the kind of support assistant that a student, already having a hard time, will remember for the rest of their lives as the person who came in, cared, and HELPED?

Do you want to be instrumental in helping them go on to achieve their full potential?

Kat at Aspire People is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-respected and inclusive secondary school in Tameside, seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to change the lives of students who struggle to attend some or all of their mainstream classes.

This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful and positive impact on the lives of students who may be experiencing barriers to learning, or are in transition between mainstream and alternative provision.

💼 About the Role:
As a key member of the student support team, you will work closely with students at risk of exclusion, those in need of additional guidance, or those reintegrating into mainstream education. You will:

- Deliver individual and small group interventions-academic and pastoral.

- Support day-to-day activities within the student inclusion base.

- Assist in the implementation of behaviour and reintegration plans.

- Build strong, trusting relationships with students to support their personal and academic development.

- Act as a positive role model aligned with the school's values and expectations.

🧑‍🏫 What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with young people in an education or support setting.

- Ability to manage behaviour positively and work flexibly across varied needs.

- Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, resilient approach.

- Passion for inclusion and removing barriers to learning.

- A proactive and professional attitude.

- An enhanced DBS on the update service is required (or willingness to apply through Aspire People).

🌟 Why Work with Aspire People?
- Local opportunities with trusted school partners across Greater Manchester.

- Dedicated support from experienced education consultants.

- Competitive pay and access to training and CPD.

- A role that makes a real difference to students' lives.
