Role Description
The Workshop Technician is primarily responsible for servicing, repairing, maintaining, and continuously improving various ROV systems, manipulator types, tooling equipment, and workshop facilities.
Responsibilities
* Maintain operational workshop facilities for mobilisation, demobilisation, refurbishment, maintenance, and repair of ROV systems and tooling equipment in accordance with workshop procedures.
* Ensure all ROV equipment is maintained and compliant with technical and project requirements. Manage and plan maintenance activities for ROV equipment.
* Perform pre/post deployment checks and QC audits for ROV equipment.
* Use logical techniques to identify technical faults during maintenance and testing.
* Compile and maintain technical records, reports, and logs using the ROVOP IMS. Ensure all inventory levels meet recommended requirements.
* Liaise with the Projects Team to prepare for future operational needs and assist in project field mobilisations.
* Liaise with the Technical and Asset Team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of ROV equipment.
* Work closely with the Logistics Team to assist with the transport of equipment to/from projects.
* Supervise ROV Pilot Trainees aligned with the ROVOP Trainee Programme, offshore personnel, and third parties.
* Operate forklift truck and gantry crane.
* Assist with workshop deliveries and driving duties.
Experience
* You must be time-served and industrially trained in Hydraulics/Mechanical fields with a working knowledge of ROVs.
* Desirable qualities include previous experience in a similar workshop role and knowledge of Schilling/manipulators.

* The candidate should be personable, able to engage support and co-operation at all levels, with good communication, organisational, and presentation skills.
