We are retained by a Top 100 UK law firm with an established national platform and growing London presence to appoint a Real Estate Finance Partner as part of a deliberate strategic expansion of itsLondo operation. This is a true growth hire — not a replacement — with a clear mandate to build, lead and scale a real estate finance capability in London, working closely with an existing Banking Partner and wider national team.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Finance Partner to:
* Lead on complex development and investment finance transactions
* Act for banks, alternative lenders, debt funds, sponsors and institutional investors
* Drive and grow a London-based real estate finance practice
* Originate and develop new client relationships while leveraging the firm’s existing network
* Work closely with the Banking Partner on cross-selling and joint mandates
* Contribute to the wider strategic direction of the Banking & Finance group
This is a platform role with genuine autonomy and the opportunity to shape a key practice area.
Your Profile
We are particularly interested in individuals with:
* A strong and demonstrable client following or portable relationships
* Significant experience in real estate finance, development finance and structured lending
* Established relationships with banks, debt funds and/or active real estate sponsors
* A commercial, entrepreneurial mindset with appetite to build and lead
* A track record of delivering high-value, technically complex transactions
* Leadership capability and experience mentoring junior lawyers
