Key Details: Location: Battle, East Sussex Hours: 20–25 hours per week (term time only, plus occasional training days) Start Date: September 2025 or earlier by mutual agreement Reporting To: SENCo / Head of Learning Support What You’ll Be Doing: Supporting students (mostly 1:1 or in small groups) with accessing learning in a calm, respectful, and encouraging way Helping pupils develop independent learning skills and self-confidence Working closely with teachers to adapt classroom materials and approaches to meet individual needs Acting as a key link between school, home, and (where relevant) external professionals for the students you support Promoting inclusion and celebrating the progress—big and small—of every learner you work with We’re Looking For Someone Who: Has experience working with young people (ideally in a school or educational setting) Is patient, understanding, and able to build strong, positive relationships with students Is confident using basic IT (Microsoft Office, Google Classroom, etc.) Holds a good level of Maths and English (GCSE or equivalent preferred) Can work independently and as part of a team, contributing to a caring school culture Brings energy, positivity, and a calm presence to the classroom and wider school Why Join This School?
