Overview
The College is looking to appoint a Lecturer B in Health and Social Care to teach across the Level 1 to Level 3 provision. You will be responsible for managing the learning process to ensure high‑quality provision leading to individual student success.
Responsibilities
* Support the Curriculum Leader by coordinating and supervising a small team in the delivery of high‑quality and inclusive provision within a curriculum area
* Deliver high‑quality and inclusive teaching and learning on one or more courses
* Support curriculum management, development and quality assurance procedures and systems within your area of responsibility
* Develop resources, support teaching programmes and deliver on a number of courses as required
* Support the achievement of annual targets for learner numbers, income, expenditure and success rates
* Uphold safeguarding duties and promote the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk (enhanced DBS check required)
Qualifications
* Hold a relevant professional qualification (minimum Level 3)
* Possess a PGCE / Cert. Ed. Level 5 teaching qualification or a willingness to work towards one
* Hold GCSEs in English and maths at grade 4/C or above, or equivalent
* Have experience of working within the Health and Social Care sector
* Have experience of leading students to the successful completion of their course
* Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to manage and prioritise
