THE ROLE
We are looking for someone who can quickly and effectively understand clients and their pain points and sell a solution to support their goals, whatever those may be. You must be able to open doors, generate qualified leads and convert into long term relationships.
This is a proactive, hands-on-selling role. We are not looking for someone to “strategise and plan growth”. This person is confident in getting on the phone, talking directly with potential clients, talking financials, pitching and negotiating successful agreements.
You know how to find, and get in front of the decision makers, manage stakeholders and leverage relationships to deliver revenues and long-term contracts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Proactive Business Development (Core Focus)
* Identify, target, and win new business opportunities for LEC Robotics solutions within your core sector
* Build and manage a robust pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, industry events, referrals, and direct engagement
* Develop account penetration strategies for target organisations and key decision-makers
* Convert complex sales opportunities from lead to close in a consultative, solution-led sales process
2. Hands-On Technical Selling
* Lead product demonstrations, presentations, and solution walkthroughs for customers and stakeholders
* Translate customer operational challenges into robotics-based solutions
* Work closely with technical/engineering teams to scope solutions, feasibility, and configurations
* Prepare proposals, pricing, and commercial offers tailored to customer needs
* Support proof-of-concept deployments and pilot projects
3. Sector-Specific Market Development
* Develop deep understanding of your target sector workflows, challenges, regulations, and buying processes
* Position LEC Robotics products as strategic solutions within sector-specific use cases
* Identify emerging trends, competitor activity, and new applications for robotics in the sector
* Act as the “voice of the customer” to inform product and go-to-market strategy
4. Full Sales Cycle Ownership
* Manage the entire sales lifecycle: prospecting → qualification → solution design → negotiation → closing
* Lead commercial negotiations, contracts, and deal structuring
* Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline tracking, and CRM updates
* Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals
5. Relationship & Account Management
* Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders (technical, operational, and executive)
* Develop strategic accounts and grow revenue through upselling and cross-selling
* Ensure smooth handover to implementation/support teams while remaining commercially engaged
6. Internal Collaboration
* Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, operations, and marketing
* Provide feedback on customer requirements to influence product development
* Support marketing with case studies, sector insights, and event participation
7. Industry Presence
* Represent LEC Robotics at trade shows, conferences, and sector events
* Develop partnerships with integrators, distributors, or ecosystem players where relevant
8. Performance & Reporting
* Track KPIs including pipeline value, conversion rates, deal cycle time, and revenue performance
* Deliver regular sales forecasts and market feedback to leadership
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Proven experience selling products into relevant sector
* Experience on negotiating and winning large scale, national contracts
* Ability to self manage and motivate
* Previous use and management of pipeline of Hubspot (or similar CRM)
* Ability to drive sales across various channels (support from marketing)
* Not afraid to pick up the phone
* Professional and confident communicator with senior clients
