We are working with a highly regarded, specialist law firm who are looking to recruit a Paralegal to join their Dispute Resolution team. This firm is recognised for its technical expertise in property finance, lender recovery and contentious litigation, acting for institutional and challenger lenders on complex, high-value matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to gain hands-on litigation experience across a varied caseload of property disputes and lender enforcement matters, with genuine scope for development within a supportive, partner-led environment.
Typical duties for the role will include:
Assisting solicitors with the day-to-day management of property litigation matters, including pre-action, proceedings and enforcement stages.
Supporting cases through hearings and trial, including preparation of court documents and bundles.
Liaising with senior team members, external solicitors, counsel, lenders and other third parties.
Responding to internal legal queries and supporting wider team requirements.
Calculating redemption statements and assisting with undertakings.
Preparing DS1 forms, deeds of release and Land Registry discharge documentation.
Assisting with invoice preparation and arranging payments to clients and third parties.
Supporting fixed charge receiver appointments and associated processes.
Assisting with consents to lease, title splits, Section 106 agreements and related documentation.
Conducting AML and compliance checks in line with firm procedures.
Supporting the distribution of surplus sale proceeds following enforcement or completion.
Maintaining accurate file records and assisting with general file management.
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, ideally within litigation or property-related work.
A strong understanding of litigation processes or property matters (desirable).
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, lender-focused environment.
A proactive approach with a willingness to develop technical knowledge.
