Hygiene Operative Location: Bason Bridge, Somerset Salary: £12.21 Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (flexibility available for earlier starts/later finishes) An excellent opportunity has become available for a Hygiene Operative to join a growing team at a state-of-the-art food production facility in Bason Bridge. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness across all areas, particularly machinery and equipment used in the production process. You’ll play a key part in ensuring hygiene and food safety standards are met consistently in a clean and modern working environment. Key Responsibilities: Deep cleaning of production machinery and equipment Cleaning and sanitising production areas, including floors, walls, and surfaces Ensuring hygiene standards are maintained in line with food safety regulations Completing cleaning schedules and records accurately Reporting any maintenance or hygiene-related issues to supervisors Working effectively with the wider production and quality teams The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in a hygiene/cleaning role, ideally within a food production environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to high hygiene standards Comfortable with deep cleaning of machinery and equipment Flexible with working hours where needed Able to work both independently and as part of a team Understanding of food safety and hygiene protocols (desirable but not essential) What’s in it for you?
