JOB TITLE – Assistant/Deputy Head Teacher
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching is looking for an Assistant Head Teacher for a Primary school in Streatham, SW17.
The school is a popular mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. The school is going from strength to strength and providing training to all staff.
Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

1. Location – Streatham, SW17.
2. Position – Deputy Headteacher
3. Type of work – Deputy Headteacher – Taking on Leadership responsibilities, covering for headteacher.
4. Contract or position start date – JAN 2026.
5. Duration / Likely Duration – On-Going
6. Contract or position end date (if applicable) – JUL 2026.
7. Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temporary Contract
8. Full time/part time – Full time
9. Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £300 per day
10. Hours – 8:30 am – 4pm : Mon – Fri (term time only)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
11. QTS or equivalent
12. Assistant/Deputy Head Qualification
13. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
14. Hold Right to Work in the UK
15. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
16. Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
